Tribute Benches
One Constitution Avenue is an address of considerable distinction in our Nation's capital. It is also the National Headquarters of the Reserve Officers Association of the United States. If these walls could talk, they would no doubt capture the words of countless great Americans, many of whom were Citizen Warriors serving their country in every branch of the Armed Forces. We would also hear words of inspiration and leadership from legendary ROA members - Citizen Warriors who founded the association in 1922 and dedicated its mission to ensuring an adequate national security for our nation. Thousands of these patriots from across America are permanently remembered within the structure on the white marble of the Wall of Gold, the Glass Recognition Panels in the Atrium, the Chapel, and the dedicated chairs of the Symposium Center.
The Minuteman Memorial Building Tribute Bench Program was recently introduced to provide a distinctive tribute opportunity on the veranda of the Headquarters Atrium. With an outside location, the veranda is always available to Capitol Hill visitors. The location is just about perfect, sitting in the shadows of the United States Capitol, just across the street from the Senate office buildings, and mere steps away from the Supreme Court and Library of Congress.
