Account for Persons Missing in Action
Resolution No. 10-28

WHEREAS, a full accounting for those Americans still missing in action as a result of the World War II, Korean and Vietnam wars, and more recent conflicts has not yet been completed;

WHEREAS, the remains of the remains of Lieutenant Commander Michael "Scott" Speicher, a US pilot shot down over Iraq in the Gulf War in 1991, have been found in the desert and returned for burial honors; and

WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the US government to account for all missing personnel and to repatriate the remains of those who perished while serving their country;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Reserve Officers Association of the United States, chartered by Congress, urge the Administration and the Congress to take appropriate action to obtain a full and immediate accounting, where questions exist, of all persons who served during hostilities and to obtain the remains of the deceased.
