WHEREAS, the Reserve components are taking increasing responsibility for the nation's defense in the face of the Active component drawdown;
WHEREAS, the Active component drawdown has resulted in a decrease of space available travel utilization; and
WHEREAS, this no-cost benefit would greatly improve morale, retainability, and recruitment in the Reserve component;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Reserve Officers Association of the United States, chartered by Congress, urge the Department of Defense to institute a policy that would afford all Reserve component personnel the same space available travel privileges accorded Active duty personnel.
