ROA PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

ROA Professional Development Programs provide a unique experience for Reserve officers of the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, NOAA, and the National Guard. These programs are conducted in conjunction with ROA's Mid-Winter Conference held yearly in Washington, DC and ROA's National Convention held yearly in the summer at locations around the country. Attendance for these seminars is open to both ROA members and non-members. Funding is the individual's responsibility.

Reserve Components Joint Officer Professional Development Seminar (RCJOPDS)
Presented annually in conjunction with the ROA Mid-Winter Conference
Eligibility: All Reserve, NG, NOAA, and PHS officers in grades 01-04 (exception Air Force 04)
Overview: provides a unique joint services professional development experience for today’s drilling reservists in grades 01-03 and Navy 04 from all of the Reserve Components and the National Guard. The joint service agenda includes senior DoD officials and senior officers from the respective active and reserve components. The seminar includes attending selected portions of the ROA's National Convention, the service luncheons and the ROA banquet. Attendance requires ROA registration. The reimbursable conference fee covers the registration, seminars, and ROA Presidential Reception (if on orders). Funding is the individual's responsibility. For more information contact: Maj. ROA Joint Officer Leadership Development and Training Seminar (JOLDTS)
Presented annually in conjunction with the ROA National Convention.
Eligibility: All Reserve, NG, NOAA, and PHS officers in grades 01-04 and WO1-CW2
Overview: This annual all-services joint officer leadership development and leadership training seminar began in 1999. The agenda includes outdoor leadership group communication and problem solving exercises, career workshops, senior leader speakers and briefs.
