Consistent with its
commitment to today's serving Reservists, the Reserve Officers Association
(ROA) Defense Education Forum (DEF) will host a Joint Officer Professional
Development Seminar (JOPDS), November 15-17 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
JOPDS is one of the
premier professional development opportunities available to our younger
officers and is one of the only professional development seminars to emphasize
joint service participation. To date, more than a thousand young officers from
all services have benefited from these ROA DEF events.
ATTENDANCE:
Open to all serving Reservists (O1-O4 and WO1-CW4). Funding is the individual's
responsibility.
REGISTRATION &
PAYMENT:
A $225 registration fee covers administration costs, daily meeting room fees,
audio/visual charges and other services provided by the hotel. Additionally,
the registration fee includes the costs of two breakfasts, two dinners, and one
lunch. This is a reimbursable expense and a receipt will be included in
your registration package for your travel voucher.
*This seminar is a reimbursable expense if authorized on orders.
UNIFORM:
Duty uniform for daytime events. Business casual for evening activities.
LODGING:
ROA's JOPDS returns to Colorado Springs and will be hosted by the Marriott Colorado
Springs Hotel. Reservations for the Colorado Springs Marriott must be made by November 10th to be
eligible for the ROA JOPDS Group Rate of $87/night. Reservations can be made by calling 1-800-932-2151 and ask
