Since receiving its congressional charter in 1950 to "support and promote the development and execution of a military policy for the United States that will provide adequate National Security," ROA has effectively advised and educated Congress, the President, and the American people on numerous issues. Over the past 10 years our nation’s Reserve Components have evolved into one of the most unique, adaptable and operational forces in the world.
