The Reserve Officers Association offers a robust educational platform that addresses the critical role of the Reserve Component in the larger scope of America's national security environment. Through its Defense Education Forum (DEF), ROA produces a wide variety of educational events. In addition, ROA provides professional development opportunities for Reservists from all branches. The Joint Officer Professional Development Seminar (JOPDS) offers young officers the opportunity to network and learn from senior officers while engaging in challenging exercises to sharpen leadership, communication, and group dynamic skills.
