ROA Defense Education Forum (DEF)
The Defense Education Forum assists the ROA in meeting its charter to educate the public on matters affecting national security. DEF achieves this goal through several annual national speeches, conferences, workshops, leadership training rides, special events, and the National Security Report.
Resources for defense education activities are derived from individual, group, and corporate donations, occasional card sales and other revenue generating events. Partnerships with external organizations also provide an important source of funding.
Principal programs of the DEF include the ROA NATIONAL SECURITY REPORT and regional Global Strategy Seminars. The ROA NATIONAL SECURITY REPORT is the monthly publication of the Defense Education Forum and is distributed to ROA members, the White House, members of Congress, war colleges, service academies, military institutes, selected military base libraries, and Active and Reserve commands.
The Global Strategy Seminars provide information on global affairs and national security to the general public and local military communities.
