Highlights From the
NSS 2012

 

ROA held it's annual National Security Symposium and Convention in Washington, D.C. from January 29 - February 1, 2012. The Symposium opened Monday morning with CIA Director David Petraeus' induction into the Minute Man Hall of Fame. Undersecretary of Defense for Policy Michele Flournoy, delivered one of her final remarks before leaving office earlier this month. On Tuesday, the Reserve Chiefs discussed the present and future role of the total force. On Wednesday, Sen. Richard "Dick" Lugar received the Minute Man of the Year award. The symposium concluded with remarks from CJCS Gen. Martin Dempsey, who discussed Joint Force 2020 and the importance of Reservists, as well as HASC Chairman Rep. Howard P. "Buck" McKeon.
