WHEREAS, the Reserve components are expected to achieve levels of training equal to that of the Active components;
WHEREAS, the training environment of the Reserve components is made more difficult than that of the Active components by reason of shortages of time, space (e.g., ranges and outdoor training areas in close proximity to home station centers and armories), facilities, and equipment; and
WHEREAS, simulators and training devices help to alleviate the more difficult training environment for the Reserve components;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Reserve Officers Association of the United States, chartered by Congress, urge the Congress to authorize and appropriate funds to provide for research and development and to procure training devices and simulators as well as the associated military construction for the Reserve components.
