ROA Reviews Amendment on NLRB Rules
This week, ROA met with Rep. Tim Walz (D-MN) to review an amendment that would prevent the National Labor Relations Board from accelerating union votes within companies. Under the Walz amendment companies liable for USERRA violations during the previous year would be on an accelerated track.
ROA Discusses Joint Warfare Qualifications Bill
ROA visited the offices of Tim Griffin (R-AR) this week to discuss proposed legislation that would credit distant learning courses toward Joint Warfare qualifications.

House Passes National Guard and Reservist Debt Relief Extension Act
On Tuesday, the House of Representatives approved bipartisan legislation that helps members of the National Guard and Reserve to obtain bankruptcy relief should they need it.

Senate Approves Guard Vote on JCS
On Monday, the Senate approved an amendment to the annual Defense Authorization Bill introduced by Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT) that will give the National Guard its first seat on the nation’s highest military council.
