Veteran Status Bill Approved by House Subcommittee
H.R. 1025, the House version of the veteran status bill, cleared its first hurdle when it was passed by a House Veterans Affairs subcommittee. It now moves to the full committee. The bill would recognize the service of those who have completed 20 years in the Reserve Component but have never been called up on active duty long enough to qualify as a veteran.  ROA testified July 7 in support of this legislation.
