ROA Receives Yellow Ribbon Update, Establishes Contact with Freshman Senator At
a recent event ROA asked for an update from Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.)
on Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program (YRRP) funding and learned that
despite previous budgeting problems, all YRRP funds were released and
are available to the states to administer the program. ROA also shared
with the Senator's staff materials relating to the Comprehensive Report
on the Future of the Reserve Component.
ROA Supports Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Program The Georgia Department of ROA has endorsed a resolution to support the IRT program in its current format. IRT provides Reserve Component units the opportunity for joint training on mission essential tasks (METL) and benefits underserved communities in the U.S. by providing infrastructure development assistance and medical care. The HASC stripped the IRT from the OSD-RA office in its version of the NDAA and the Georgia resolution would restore it.
