The Hon. Dennis McCarthy to Step Down as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs Secretary McCarthy notified ROA this week he will be stepping down from his post June 1. He and his wife, Rosemary, will be returning to Columbus to be "full-time grandparents," as his two sons have been mobilized for OEF deployments. Secretary McCarthy has been a tremendous advocate for reserve component readiness and the total force, and we commend his 41 years of service in the Marine Corps, five years as executive director of ROA, and two years as ASD(RA) at the Pentagon. |
