ANNOUNCEMENTS:
USAA successfully thwarts cyber fraud

Some ROA Members received an email from the Army voicing concerns about senior officers' accounts with USAA and attempted cyber fraud. ROA has confirmed with USAA that this incident was limited in scope and involved only a handful of people. USAA continues to investigate this incident. USAA's extensive security and fraud detection measures, which protect the personal and financial information of all its members, worked as designed and prevented the attempted fraud. No member funds were compromised.

USAA and ROA strongly encourage our members to be vigilant in protecting their personal information and online credentials, especially people who have public profiles. To help protect their members’ information, USAA provides notification any time information is changed on a member’s account for the specific purpose of preventing fraud.

USAA members can learn more through the Security Center on USAA.com.
