Members of the Navy Reserve's Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 18 unload school supplies destined for children in Kandahar City Nov. 28, in support of Operation Seabeelieve. NMCB-18 received supplies from friends, family and employers in the Northwestern United States. ROA Meets with Health Net Federal Services Group
ROA met with the Health Net's leaders to discuss access to medical, dental, and mental health care services for Guard and Reserve members, and the challenges with the implementation of TRCIARE Retired Reserve. Health Net was awarded the next generation contract for TRICARE in the North Region.
ROA Attends Primary and Behavioral Health Policy Roundtable
ROA attended a roundtable held by the Altarum Institute to discuss Guard, Reserve and rural veteran health care issues including closing the access gap through the utilization of innovative technologies. For example, the TRICARE Assistance Program or TRIAP allows beneficiaries to talk to a trained counselor via Skype about short-term issues and the VA has a similar program by phone. |
