Veterans Employment Program Office
ROA attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) new walk-in Veterans Employment Program Office. It is hoped that this new center will aid and increase veteran hires in the federal government. ROA has been participating in meetings with OPM on this issue.

NDAA May Fail to Pass Congress
Talks in the House and Senate Armed Services committees about the FY 2011 National Defense Authorization Act have been suspended, raising the potential that the annual Pentagon policy bill will not pass Congress. Congressional Democrats accuse Republicans of obstructionism, while Republicans accuse Democrats of politicizing the bill by including a repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." |
