NDAA Stalls in Senate The Senate version of the National Defense Authorization Bill has been delayed after failing to move to the Senate floor Tuesday. It will likely be held up until after the mid-term elections. Several controversial provisions caused the stall including repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," abortion on military bases, and immigration (DREAM Act).

Defense Appropriations to Conference Appropriators are currently working on a joint explanatory statement that will essentially conference the House and Senate versions of the Defense Appropriations Bill. That report is due next week.
