Senate Debate Delays Doc Fix
A Senate vote on the American Jobs and Closing Tax Loopholes Act of 2010 (H.R. 4213), which postpones a scheduled 21.2 percent cut in payments to doctors who treat Medicare and TRICARE patients, is expected to occur later this week or next. This is the third time that Congress has done a short term correction this year.

HISTORY:
June 14, 1775 - On
this day, after almost 2 months of battles between independent colonial
militias and British troops, the Second Continental Congress approved
the creation of a common army to defend the colonies, the Continental
Army. The following day, the Congress named George Washington as
commander-in-chief of the Army, composed of some 27,000 militiamen. Happy 235th birthday to the United States Army!
