LEGISLATION AND MILITARY POLICY: TRICARE Retired Reserve (TRR) Update Legislative Director CAPT Marshall Hanson was recently briefed at a health care meeting that the new TRICARE program for gray-area retirees, TRICARE Retired Reserve (TRR), will likely not be available for start until Oct. 1, 2010, with enrollment starting in September if the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) allows for an interim final rule.

LTC Grady Fairbairn Dies After Presenting ROA Medals LTC Grady Fairbairn, USA (Ret.), 1938-2010, died April 30 after presenting ROA medals to Fort Worth area JROTC cadets. Fairbairn served active duty 1961 to 1963, continued his service in the Army Reserve and retired in 1998 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He then became an active member in the ROA Department of Texas.
