ROA's Washington, DC department, organized by Department President Col. Judi Davenport, USAR, “stormed” Capitol Hill April 14 doing office visits to key Virginia and Maryland elected officials.

EDUCATION:
DEF to Host Legal Seminar on Targeted Killings
On April 22 in Washington, DC, the Defense Education Forum and the American Bar Association will present a panel focused on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles for targeted killings, and the application of military, intelligence, international human rights, and constitutional law to this complex issue.

DEF Hosts Successful Medical Seminar in Chicago
On April 9, DEF hosted its seminar "Military Medicine: The State of the Art" for a capacity audience in Chicago. The seminar continued DEF’s focus on some of the most pressing medical issues facing servicemembers today including the evaluation and treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, medical training issues, and traumatic response.

The joint DoD/State Dept./CIA report called on a policy of containment and a significant increase in defense investment to thwart Soviet expansion.
