A tax deduction you should keep in mind
When doing your taxes this year, remember that if you traveled more than 100 miles to attend a drill and spent the night, you can deduct your lodging expenses, half the cost of your meals, and 55 cents per mile for travel, along with tolls and parking fees.
HISTORY:
April 1, 1954 - On this day, President Dwight Eisenhower signed a bill authorizing the establishment of an Air Force Academy. On July 11, 1955, the first class was sworn in at Lowry Air Force Base. The academy moved to a permanent site near Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1958.
