Reminder: No Issue of The Officer for March 2010 ROA staff would like to remind you that The Officer is now a bimonthly publication, therefore there will not be a March 2010 issue. Also, the new quarterly newsletter, which will augment The Officer and contain membership matters, will be sent in April.
LEGISLATION AND MILITARY POLICY: Cut in Medicare and TRICARE Fees to Doctors Due to Senate gridlock, the 21.2 percent cut in Medicare and TRICARE fees paid to providers went into effect. In response, President Obama has directed Medicare billing contractors to hold off processing claims for 10 days to give the Senate time to place a hold on these reductions. If passed, the hold would allow billings at the earlier fee level.
