Department of Delaware hosting get-together at Fort Miles
Come on out and join us on Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2012, in Cape Henlopen State Park beginning at 11:00 for some lunch and a presentation/tour of the Fort Miles Restoration project underway. We will begin with a nice lunch at the Biden Center located in Cape Henopen State Park. There will be a cost of about $15/person which includes lunch, drinks, dessert, park entrance fee and the presentation/tour of Fort Miles. We are inviting our sister organizations to attend as well. it should a great day of relaxation and comraderie seeing and hearing of the history and the restoration efforts being done to the Fort. Also as an added bonus there will be a new cannon added to Battery 519 the week before our event so we will be some of the first people to partake of this new gun. Hope to see you there. Lunch is at 11 - 12:30 in the Biden Center located on the first floor. We will make our way over to the Fort Miles Restoration project at 12:30 with the presentation/tour commencing at 1:00 pm. We expect to be finished with the activities somewhere around 3 - 3:30. We ask that you RSVP by May 1, 2012 so we can get a head count for determining how much food we need to provide.
