RCJOPDS Leadership Track: Aimed at our younger, currently serving attendees wishing to hone their leadership skills.
Legislative Advocacy Track: This track will arm members storming the hill with the tips, tools and legislative advocacy positions of ROA as well as an update on key legislation on the hill
Current Topics Track: This track will feature speakers focusing on pressing issues associated our current national security posture.
RCJOPDS (Reserve Component Joint Officer Professional Development Seminar)

RCJOPDS runs simultaneously with the ROA National Convention and offers a unique joint services professional development experience for today’s serving Reservists and advanced standing ROTC cadets and midshipmen, (who will follow a special ROTC track). The seminar provides an unparallel opportunity to network with peers and superiors from all the uniformed services as well as to meet with service senior leadership. Full convention registration and RCJOPDS seminar fee are required for participation.

Junior Officer Mixer
There will be a mixer for junior officers Monday, Feb. 8, 5 p.m., in the Monroe Ballroom at the Washington Hilton. Attire is business casual. This mixer will be a social gathering for RCJOPDS students and senior leaders from all branches of the Reserve.
ROA Coast Guard Reception
DC Coast Guard Chapter 4 invites all USCG officers and ROA members to this annual event, Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, 5:30 p.m. at ROA Headquarters, One Constitution Ave. NE, Washington, DC. OPTIONAL GUIDED TOURS:
Downtown Washington Memorials and Monuments
Master Guide Jim Carr (COL, USAR, Retired) will do a tour of downtown DC and many of the Memorials/monuments on Sunday to include the White House, Lafayette Park, Jackson Place, Blair House, OEOB, Treasury Building, American Red Cross, Octagon House, DAR Constitution Hall, OAS, World War II Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, and GWU. Depart hotel at noon and take Metro to McPherson Square and return on Metro (about 3:30 p.m.) from Foggy Bottom/GWU at the end of the tour. Wear warm clothing, walking shoes, and be able to walk approximately three miles.
Cost is $25 (cash please) per person. The tour leaves from the lobby of the hotel promptly at noon on Sunday, 7 February. Purchase your tickets from the tour operator at the beginning of the tour.
Arlington National Cemetery Tour
A tour of Arlington National Cemetery will be offered on the afternoon of Wedneday, February 10. Metro to Arlington Cemetary station. The tour will cover sites to include the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the amphitheater, and the gravesite of President Kennedy and many other distinguished Americans. The tour will conclude about 3:30 p.m. with return by Metro to the hotel. Wear warm clothing, walking shoes and be prepared to walk at least two miles, much of it over hilly terrain. Cost is $25 (cash please) per person. The tour leaves from the lobby of the hotel promptly at noon on Wednesday, 10 February. Purchase your tickets from the tour operator at the beginning of the tour.
