CIOR/CIOMR REGISTRATION AND INFORMATION

NOTICE: REGISTRATION CLOSED AT MIDNIGHT DECEMBER 20, 2012
Registration is restricted to official delegates shown on the CIOR Roster 2012-2013.  All other CIOR  delegates must be cleared by the US VP-CIOR, Col Paul Groskreutz, USAF (Ret.) email prgroskreutz@gmail.com). CIOMR delegates having questions need to be cleared by the US VP - CIOMR, MGen R. Kasulke, email ckasulke@twcny.rr.com

The 2013 CIOR/CIOMR Winter Meeting will be held at NATO HQ in Brussels from Thursday 31 January to Saturday 2 February 2013. The Welcome Reception will be held on Thursday evening, 31 January at which spouses and other accompanying persons are welcome for an additional fee. The Closing Dinner will be held at NATO HQ on Friday 1 February 2013 at which spouses and other accompanying persons/guests are welcome for an additional fee.

The ROA Registration Fee for official delegates is $345 USD. This fee includes the reception Thursday evening , lunches on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and the Closing Dinner. There is no Delegate-at- Large registration authorized for this meeting.  As a result, accompanying persons/guests are not required to register separately  but a separate and additional Reception ($30 USD) and Closing Dinner ($75 USD) fee is required for all accompanying persons/guests.  All US ROA delegates registering via the web-site or via Fax should disclose the requested information on any accompanying persons/guests on their registration. The Date of Birth (DOB) disclosure is very important for security protocol purposes. US ROA delegation registration is via the ROA web-site. REGISTRATION MUST BE COMPLETED NLT 20 DECEMBER 2012 IN ORDER TO MEET THE SECURITY PROTOCOLS ENTRY TO NATO HQ REQUIRES.

All US ROA delegates are reminded that they are to observe their Service’s individual grooming and uniform standards. Retired members are cautioned that if there are any doubts as to the serviceability or appearance of their uniforms they should opt for civilian coat and tie attire for meetings and the Closing Dinner.

The US ROA delegation will meet Wednesday evening (1800) 30 January 2013 at the Hilton for a brief orientation meeting.  Look for an information sign in the Hilton lobby indicating the meeting room location and any meeting time modification.  We plan to hand out individual credentials for entrance to NATO at this meeting.

The US ROA delegation hotel is the Hilton Brussels–City Centre. The negotiated rate is shown in the Block below. The rate is good through 7 February for those who may stay on in Brussels. Be sure to use the event code “GNATD” when making your Hilton reservation.

Transportation to/from the Brussels Airport will be an individual responsibility. Transportation during the meeting will be via shuttle buses service to NATO HQ and will be provided from both the HILTON and THON. On Thursday the 31st the first shuttle run will commence at 0830 from hotels to NATO HQ.

Security Protocols:  NATO HQ
Your individual security access badge will be available in your hotel as long as you have met the Registration deadline of 20 December 2012. Late Registrations/Arrivals should be avoided if at all possible.  Doinig so means you will need to register outside NATO HQ in front of the main entrance.  Avoid this hassle and delay by registering  before the December 20th deadline via the ROA web-site.

Photo cameras (even your mobile phone) are not allowed in the NATO HQ. You must leave your camera and mobile phone at the security gate.
