Featuring field leading experts in the areas of military justice service member employment laws; this seminar is eligible for eight house of continuing legal education (CLE) credits in accordance with the standards as established by the attendees state board of bar overseers. Topics include an examination of judicial processes unique to service members, the Service Members Civil Relief Act (SCRA), the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) and the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA)

Featuring field leading experts in the areas of military and combat medicine; this seminar will be eligible for eight hours of continuing medical education (CME) credits as certified by the Department of Defense, Department of Health Affairs. Topics include Sustaining Medical Operational Readiness as The Army downsizes; Combat Transfusions and Coagulopathy; Rapid Sequence Intubation in the Austere Environment; The Treatment of  Trauma from Biological, Psychosocial Social and Spiritual Aspects; and Psychological Effects of the Long War.

Welcome Reception

Location: Elephant Community Center, Smithsonian National Zoo

We welcome you to the 2013 NSS and our Nation’s Capital with a reception held at the Smithsonian National Zoo.  We are fortunate to have our event in the brand new Elephant Community Center – opening May 2013.  Just a short three block walk from the steps of Wardman Park Marriott; enjoy the company of your fellow ROA members while overlooking the elephant great room.  This event is free to paid NSS Registrants.

Optional VIP Welcome Reception Package
Choose the optional VIP Welcome Reception ticket to make a $50 charitable gift per person to the ROA STARs Foundation and receive VIP status to the Welcome Reception.  VIP status includes:  A special Foundation Founding Member ribbon & pin and entrance to the Welcome Reception 30 minutes prior to general opening.  VIP spots are limited; first-come, first-served basis.
