Hotel Information
The Silver Legacy Resort will host the 2016 National Convention. The easiest way to make your reservation is by going online  or calling 800-687-8733 (be sure to use group rate code “ROA16”). Reservations must be made no later than 11 August 2016 to get the convention rate of $65/nightReservations made after that date will be subject to availability and will be accepted on a space and rate availability basis.

All rates are subject to a $15/night resort fee. This resort fee provides you with roundtrip airport shuttle service 19 hours per day, both covered valet and covered self parking, unlimited local and toll free 800 phone calls, complimentary in wireless internet for 2 devices per room and in meeting space, admission to the health spa and more.

Keynote SpeakerTodd A. Weiler - Assistant Secretary of Defense (Manpower and Reserve Affairs)—INVITED
Mr. Weiler serves as the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Manpower and Reserve Affairs). In this capacity, he serves as the principal advisor to the Secretary of Defense and the Under Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) on all matters relating to Civilian and Military Personnel Policies, Reserve Integration, Military Community and Family Policy and Total Force Planning and Requirements. Additionally, he exercises day-to-day supervision of the Department of Defense Education Activity and the Defense Commissary Agency and provides oversight of the Armed Forces Retirement Homes. Full Bio

Delegates
Every member is encouraged to apply to their department leadership to become a delegate. Delegates cast votes on behalf of their department on issues such as resolutions, proposed changes to the constitution and bylaws, and the election of national officers. To find out who your department leader is, contact Tracey Ware at tware@roa.org  or 202-646-7733.

Transportation

Airport: The Reno Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is a mere 4 miles from the resort and takes only 10-12 minutes to arrive.

Shuttle: The Silver Legacy offers complimentary shuttle service daily from 5:00 am – midnight, running every 30 minutes. The shuttle leaves the hotel valet at the hour and half hour and picks up at the airport at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.

Parking: Complimentary self parking and valet parking are available at the hotel.

Driving: The Silver Legacy is a landmark in downtown Reno. Its gracious tower can be seen upon approach from any direction. The hotel is easily accessible from both the 395 and 80 freeways.

Car Rental
The Silver Legacy Resort has arranged for special car rental rates for attendees. For your convenience there is a complete Enterprise rental desk located in the Resort's lobby.
