Healthcare in the military and civilian world is a dynamic field that is in a constant state of change. Given the unique environments of military medicine and civilian healthcare, these changes can often occur in disparate ways, contributing to gaps in service. The constant between the fields is the patient. The life cycle of care for any given service member will take them through three distinct systems: private sector care, DoD and the VA. Now more than ever, innovations across the spectrum of these three fields are being shared, learned from and incorporated, helping to bridge the gaps in service, creating a more comprehensive continuum of care.

This program will feature senior leadership from DoD, VA and the private sector who will share their perspectives on challenges, innovations, best practices and the future of healthcare.

Speakers include:

  •     Dr. Jonathan Woodson, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs
  •     Ms Patricia Vandenberg, Assistant Deputy Under Secretary for Health for Policy and Planning of Veterans Affairs
