The Interallied Confederation of Reserve Officers, commonly referred to by its French acronym CIOR, represents the interests of over 1.3 million reservists across 36 participating nations within and beyond NATO, making it the world’s largest military reserve officer organization.

Founded in 1948 by the reserve officer associations of Belgium, France and the Netherlands, CIOR is now a NATO-affiliated, non-political and non-profit umbrella organization of member nations’ national reserve officer associations.

The CIOR meets twice a year – in the summer and winter – and they work through committees that examine issues and provide analysis relating to reserve forces.The 2014 Winter Meeting will be held at NATO HQ in Brussels from Thursday 06 February to Saturday 08 February 2014.

To Attend

Registration for US delegates to the 2014 CIOR/CIOMR Summer Congress in Fulda Germany is available exclusively through the ROA website. Registration for this Congress will require pre-payment of the full registration fee and all hotel room nights regardless of delegate type. The pre-payment total is non-refundable.

 

When Registering

Attendees registering as full delegates should choose from one of two designations when completing the registration process:

  1. CIOR/CIOMR/DAL - includes all attendees to the CIOR and CIOMR Summer Congress as well as Delegates at Large
  2. MILCOMP/YROW - includes all attendees to the NATO Military Competition and the Young Reserve Officers Workshop
    *CIOR, CIOMR, DAL, MILCOMP and YROW registration costs cover the following: Opening Ceremony & Federal Reception, German Evening, Ministry of Defense Reception, Symposium, Closing Ceremony & Gala Dinner, Lunch & Coffee Breaks, Transportation (within Fulda & airport transfer from Frankfurt)

Guests of delegates or those registering a la carte should check the boxes of those program elements they wish to attend. These options include:

  • Opening Ceremony & Federal Reception
  • German Evening
  • Ministry of Defense Reception
  • Symposium
  • Closing Ceremony & Gala Dinner
  • Lunch & Coffee Breaks
  • Transportation (within Fulda & airport transfer from Frankfurt)

 

Hotel Options for Delegates

Hotel nights must be paid for in advance as part of this registration process. When selecting your hotel choose your option from the list on the right. You must indicate your number of room nights. To do this, change the quantity in your cart before proceeding to checkout.

  • Hotel Esperanto is the US Delegation hotel. This is the site of the Congress and the Symposium.
    Rate: $126.00/night (single) / $154.00 (double)
    Plase note, the Hotel Esperanto is now SOLD OUT.
  • Holiday Inn is the next closest hotel to the site of the Congress, 5 minutes by car and 15 minutes by foot.
    Rate: $126.00/night (single) / $154.00 (double)
  • Hotel Maritim is available as an alternative. Hotel Maritim is 5 minutes by car and 15 minutes by foot from the site of the Congress.
    Rate: $168/night (single) / $176.00 (double)

 

Lodging Options for MILCOMP / YROW Attendees

  • The Hotel Lenz is the required lodging for YROW attendees
    Rate: $63.00/night
  • MILCOMP competitors  will be billeted at the German Infantry School at Hammelburg (38 km south of Fulda)
