ROA membership is open to any federally commissioned officer, warrant officer, non-commissioned officer of the National Guard, Reserve, Active Component, Former officers or Retired officers and their spouses. Chapter 11 of the Reserve Officers Association Department of the Golden West meets at the March Air Reserve Base.
The Mission and Purpose of the March Air Reserve Base Chapter is to provide “Grass Roots” input through the Department of the Golden West (California/Nevada) to the Reserve Officers Association to fulfill its Congressional Charter to support and promote the development and execution of a military policy for the United States that will provide adequate National Security. Chapter 11 is a working unit of ROA, it has great freedom in determining its programs and priorities and provides the basis for establishing ROA’s goals and objectives. It carries out activities within the framework of the department and national constitutions, by-laws and written operating guidance.
Department of the Golden West (California/Nevada) is offering a $100.00 rebate for New Life Members. Chapter 11 is also offering an additional REBATE for NEW LIFE MEMBERS while funds last or until 31 March 2014 whichever comes first. Contact us for further information. Department of the Golden West (California/Nevada) ROA Department Convention and Joint Officer Professional Development Seminar (JOPDS) will be held at the Holiday Inn Bayside, San Diego, CA between 4-6 April 2014. Look for full details in the January Sentinel Newsletter and on the Department website.
The following nominations have been received for the upcoming Chapter 011 officer elections: President: Christine Kowalski; Vice President:Yolanda Garcia; Treasurer: Kenneth Morrison; Sergeantt At Arms: Monica Lombardo. We received no nominations for VP Junior Officer, Secretary and for the Board of Directors. Anyone interested in so serving should contact Colonel Morrison or Colonel Santee before 31 December 2013. Election ballots will be sent out in January 2014.
ROA Kiosks have been placed: (1) 336 ARS, Bldg 2245 lobby (2) Navy Support Center, Bldg 23570 main lobby (3) Armed Forces Reserve Center, snack room outside N110 (4) Base Exchange, Military Clothing Sales (5) Commissary, entrance shelf (6) 452 MdSq & 163 MdSq, Bldg 2300 entrance lobby (7) Billeting Reception, main lobby (8) Fitness Center, Bldg 465 entrance (9) Legal Office, Bldg 115 waiting room (10) All Ranks Club, at entrance to Back Street Cafe from the club. We need volunteers to check on the kiosks to ensure the brochures don't run out. Volunteers should contact either Colonel Morrison or Colonel Santee.
